DR BOWDEN’S SUMMARY
Dr James Bowden is an Australian-trained Consultant Radiologist with approximately 26 years of qualified medical experience, including 18 years of subspecialty expertise in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
He has held consultant and academic positions at some of Australia’s leading institutions, including Austin Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, BreastScreen, and the University of Melbourne, where he also served as a part-time Lecturer. He subsequently joined MNCDI (NSW) as a Consultant Radiologist and Supervisor/Medical Director.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Bowden has established a strong presence in the medicolegal field, having authored over 400 medicolegal reports across a wide range of matters for various legal firms over the past decade.

His clinical expertise spans a broad range of subspecialised imaging disciplines, including brain, head and neck, spinal, musculoskeletal, body, and breast imaging with extensive experience in MRI reporting, major trauma, and cerebrovascular, head and neck, spinal and body angiography and intervention.
He is also highly experienced in fluoroscopic, stereotactic, ultrasound, CT, and MRI-guided therapeutic injections, as well as tumour core and FNA biopsy procedures.
