DR MICHAEL BOWLER SUMMARY
Dr Michael Bowler practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise in procedures ranging from difficult dental extractions and the surgical removal of wisdom teeth through to advanced corrective jaw surgery and TMJ total joint replacements.
Dr. Bowler can diagnose and treat facial pain, oral pathology, maxillofacial injuries, and perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures. Dr. Bowler is also a WorkCover approved assessor of facial injuries and regularly writes medicolegal reports and provides expert opinions in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Bowler’s experienced staff is trained in radiography, managing hospital admissions and assisting with surgery performed in hospital and under local anaesthesia within our state of the art office setting.

TMJ SURGERY
Dr Bowler has a long standing special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders. He has received advanced training in TMJ surgery in Europe and the USA and has undertaken numerous specialist courses. He has attended a large number of TMJ conferences over many years both here in and overseas. Dr Bowler is a frequently invited speaker on the subject of TMJ surgery at professional meetings and he is an International Member of the American Society of TMJ Surgeons.
Dr. Bowler routinely undertakes TMJ arthroscopy and surgery including total joint replacements with a high degree of success; patients are frequently referred to Dr. Bowler from all over Australia for this type of surgery. With the latest custom alloplastic devices in place, patients previously in significant pain with poor joint function are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life.
