DR JIAN CHENG SUMMARY
Dr Jian Cheng is a Dual Qualified independent medical examiner. As an Australian-based health professional. Dr Cheng is trained as an Adult Nephrologist with a specialisation in Kidneys and a General Medicine Physician. Dr Jian Cheng is committed to holistic patient-centred care, with an emphasis on empowering individuals living with kidney disease.
On top of his clinical work, he is co-director of the Department of General Medicine, a member of the Morbidity / Mortality Committee and the Rapid Response Committee at Orange Base Hospital. He brings a thorough understanding of hospital procedures and treatment pathways and is actively involved in patient education about kidney disease as well as in peer education for nephrology trainees.
With a strong background in nephrology/urology and general medicine, Dr Cheng brings valuable clinical expertise to the Medico-Legal sector. Rendering comprehensive Face-to-Face assessments, medication and file review services to support informed and objective case outcomes.
Dr Cheng is a multi-award winning medical educator with the University of Sydney, where he holds appointment as Senior Lecturer and Medicine Block Coordinator for the School of Rural Health. He has extensive experience working rurally with a strong background in general medicine/nephrology.
