Dr Anthony Greenberg is a General Surgeon with extensive experience in gastrointestinal surgery, trauma, and maxillofacial injuries. He has special expertise in the management of gastric conditions, including peptic ulcer and reflux disease; colorectal surgery, including haemorrhoids and bowel disease; and abdominal wall surgery, including inguinal and femoral hernias.
Dr Greenberg is also proficient in carrying out diagnostic and interventional endoscopy procedures. Dr Greenberg served as VMO at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital from 1980-2008. He also held an appointment at Western Suburbs Hospital, Ashfield, until its closure in 1990. Further, Dr Greenberg has had extensive experience in rural and remote surgery and has worked at hospitals in NSW, ACT and Queensland, including a position at Broken Hill Base Hospital where he was also involved in the surgical teaching programme.
Dr Greenberg is skilled in the provision of permanent impairment assessment and reports and is currently accredited with SIRA – WorkCover NSW and NSW Motor Accident. He is also a Member of the Medico-Legal Section, RACS. Further, Dr Greenberg has full accreditation with the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy to perform gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
