DR WHITE’S SUMMARY

Dr Amanda White is a highly qualified Forensic Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 15 years’ experience, one of the few with dual endorsement in NSW.

She specialises in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments that address both clinical and legal questions. Her expertise covers:

• Fitness to Stand Trial and decision-making capacity (e.g. financial management).
• Risk assessment and expert forensic opinions.
• Assessments of individuals with acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, mental health issues, personality disorders, and substance use disorders.

Dr White has worked across courts, hospitals, custodial settings, NGOs, corporations, and private practice, giving her broad and balanced experience. She has a strong focus on capacity assessments, older clients, and complex cases.

She is skilled at building rapport, applying rigorous assessment methods, and delivering independent, objective, and empirically grounded expert reports for criminal and civil matters. Her PhD research on cognition and trial fitness, combined with her publications, underpins her authority in this area.
