SUMMARY
As senior registrar in psychiatry, Dr Trevor Lotz initiated a programme called “Psychiatry in Primary Care,” a series of lectures and workshops designed to upskill general practitioners in psychiatry. He has also completed a dissertation on courses and outcomes for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). Dr Lotz has tutored undergraduate medical students and psychiatric registrars in psychiatry.
Now, he continues to lecture and talk to General Practitioners, Mental Health Nurses and Pharmacists as part of Continuing Medical Education (CME). Dr Lotz is also a Member of the Doctors Health Advisory Service (DHAS), offering assistance to
Medical Practitioners with psychiatric/psychological problems. Dr Lotz is also the Consultant Psychiatrist for students referred from Bond University by Dr Peter Karsas (Bond Medical Centre) suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder and other psychiatric/psychological disorders.
